Practice centers on restructuring distressed businesses, both inside and outside of state and federal insolvency proceedings. His emphasis is on consensual workouts and debt restructuring, liability management, chapter 11 reorganizations, and distressed capital market transactions. He frequently advises on buying distressed assets, in and outside of bankruptcy, counter-party risk, and regularly advises boards on duties during distress situations. He has particular experience in responding to dislocation and distress in energy (upstream, midstream, downstream and oil field service providers) and companies responding to mass tort and environmental liabilities.
