Jamie Muir Wood is a busy junior specialising in all aspects of intellectual property law. His copyright work has a particular focus on media and entertainment.
Jamie recently appeared in the Court of Appeal (with Michael Hicks) in Vernacare v. Moulded Fibre Products; represents MC Moose in a dispute with Jamie XX; is part of the team representing the estates of Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell in their dispute with Sony over the Jimi Hendrix Experience; represents Shorts International in its dispute with Google over its YouTube Shorts offering; was part of the HMRC team that appeared in the First-tier Tax Tribunal in Morgan Lloyd Trustees v. Revenue & Customs Commissioners; and regularly represents a range of clients in trade mark proceedings in the IPO and on appeal to the Appointed Person and High Court.
Jamie was appointed to the Attorney General’s ‘C’ panel of counsel in 2021, provides pro-bono advice and representation through Advocate and is also an ADR Group accredited civil and commercial mediator.
