Career
Jin Hong Kwon is the Head of the Insurance & Reinsurance Practice Group and also a core member of the Finance Practice Group. His expertise covers areas of compliance under the Insurance Business Act, Act on Corporate Governance of Financial Companies and the Personal Information Protection Act. In addition, he is well-experienced in matters involving licensing and registrations, policy wording review and drafting for life and non-life insurers, outsourcing and delegation compliance and other key issues involving insurance and reinsurance market participants in Korea.
His main areas of expertise within the finance practice are structured finance and securitisation (including Asset Backed Securitisation and Asset Backed Loans), sale of non-performing loans, financial services and compliance and banking. As for his securitisation experience, he has successfully completed deals on cross-border securitisation of Samsung Card’s future receivables, Shinhan Card’s future receivables, Lotte Card’s future receivables, Woori Card’s future receivables, Lotte Capital’s lease claims, Korean Air Lines’ domestic and overseas future receivables, TriGem’s future receivables, Young Chang’s future receivables and account receivables arising from sales of the 9th Avenue Shopping Mall.
