Practice Areas

Jonathan practises in serious crime, financial crime, and regulatory crime.

He is recognised as an outstanding trial advocate and lawyer.

His practice in serious crime includes sexual offences, drug conspiracies, human trafficking, firearms, serious violence, manslaughter and murder.

His practice in financial crime includes high-value fraud, money laundering and illegal money lending.

His practice in regulatory crime is diverse and includes health and safety, environmental crime, and trading standards.

He is regularly instructed to both defend and prosecute professionals accused of criminal and/or regulatory wrongdoing.

He defends for leading defence firms and prosecutes for various agencies including the CPS and their specialist divisions, the HSE, the EA, and several local councils. He receives instructions to act on a direct access basis especially in relation to those accused of driving offences.

He is a grade 4 prosecutor and is on the CPS lists for serious organised crime (level 4), fraud (level 4), and rape and serious sexual offences (RASSO).
