Jorge San Martín represents national and multinational clients in local and international tax matters regarding cross-border operations, investments and transactions. He provides clients with tax and business planning advice, including tax advice pertaining to M&A, as well as any corporate reorganization with focus on permanent establishments and other tax-related international matters. Jorge also provides advice involving structuring and planning of tax efficient structures, including the tax treatment of acquisitions and investments.
Career
Prior to founding SMPS, Jorge was partner of Gardere Wynne Sewell, LLP, where he worked for more than 10 years. He was also partner of the accounting firm Rocha, Pérez, San Martín, S.C.
Jorge obtained his J.D. from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in 2012, and his degree as Certified Public Accountant from Universidad Anahuac del Norte in 1995, in Mexico City.

Jorge is member of the Mexico’s Public Accountants School, the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants and the National Association of Business Lawyers
He is also a member of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and the American Chamber of Commerce, in Mexico City.
