José Saldarriaga has been a partner in EJASO’s Corporate Law Department since 2022, having joined the firm in 2011. He has extensive experience in M&A and venture capital, advising companies, investors, and investment funds on corporate transactions and financing across various sectors, including technology, sports, entertainment, and the digital economy.

Regularly advises startups, scaleups, venture capital funds, and corporate venture capital investors on investment structuring, negotiation of financing rounds, and shareholder agreements, ensuring legally sound frameworks aligned with growth objectives.

Has been involved in numerous mergers and acquisitions, capital increases, redomestications and corporate restructurings, providing comprehensive support throughout due diligence, negotiation, and deal execution.

Advises companies on their relationships with domestic and international investors, supporting both entrepreneurs in securing funding and funds in executing investments and exits.

Serves as secretary to the board of directors of various companies, including publicly traded entities, contributing to strategic decision-making and ensuring compliance with corporate governance regulations.

Career

José holds a Law Degree from the University of Navarra 2010 and a Master’s in Business Law from Universidad Antonio de Nebrija 2011, where he was awarded for the best academic record. He has completed various specialized programs, including the Legal Project Practitioner certification from the IILPM.
