Kim Blacklow regularly represents commercial banks, REITs and U.S. and foreign debt funds in commercial mortgage and mezzanine loan financings, including construction loans, Sharia-compliant financings and related intercreditor arrangements, and is a leading practitioner advising on the financing of mortgage and mezzanine whole loans and portfolios through, among other things, repo, secured loan, loan-on-loan and participation structures. Kim also has significant experience counselling clients in connection with loan workouts and restructurings, foreclosure planning and real estate bankruptcies.
In addition to her regular practice, Kim has significant pro bono experience, including guiding the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council in the establishment of The Arts Center at Governors Island in New York City.
Kim joined the firm in 1994 and became a partner in 2003. From 1999 to 2000 she was resident in the firm’s Tokyo office. J.D., Columbia Law School (1994); A.B., Radcliffe College, cum laude (1988).
