Career

Kristen is considered one of the nation’s leading “Big Data” and HIPAA compliance attorneys. She also has deep experience in data sharing for research and innovation, data breaches, state consumer data privacy, biobanking and genomic privacy, and clinical research compliance. Kristen is a sought-after national speaker on these issues and has been active in national healthcare policy. She is the past President (2013-2014) of the American Health Law Association, the nation’s largest health care legal organization.

Personal

Kristen started her educational journey at the University of Michigan Medical School, but decided to go to law school instead to pursue health policy. Kristen is still deeply interested in science and the practice of medicine, which she brings to her legal practice.
