Founder Partner. Before founding the firm, Mr. Diez Canseco served as President and Magistrate for Peru at the Tribunal of Justice of the Andean Community. He also served as Member of the Competition Appeal Tribunal at the Peruvian Institute for the Defence of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (INDECOPI). Previously was international officer at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Competition Section at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and General Coordinator of the Competitiveness Programe of the World Bank in Peru. He was also one of the Members of the Conflict Resolution Commission of the Telecommunications regulator (OSIPTEL).
Studied at The George Washington University Law School and holds a Master in Comparative Law Degree. Studied Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP). Was a Fulbright Scholar and Hubert H. Humphrey Scholar in Washington D.C. Since 1998 was professor of Competition Law, Unfair Competition, Advertising Law, International Trade, Intellectual Property and Consumer Protection at PUCP Law School and the Competition Law and Intellectual Property Master Program at same university. He was professor at the Master of Law Program at the Graduate School of the Universidad del Pacífico, as well as former professor at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas Law School and Graduate School.
Since 2017 is the Dean of the Law School of the Universidad Tecnológica del Perú. Since August 2019 is non-Governmental advisor (NGA) for Peru at the International Competition Network (ICN). Lately has actively participated as advisor of the Consumer Protection Committee of the Peruvian Congress in charge of the enactment of the Merger Control Law.
The definitions of "Refuse to Deal" and "Technology Transfer," which are a part of the First Global Dictionary of Competition Law released by Concurrences, were recently written by him. June 2022.
Mr. Diez Canseco is also part of the list of persons eligible to be designated presidents in the Panels of Arbitrators for the settlement of disputes within the framework of bilateral trade agreements to which the European Union is a party.
