Career

María Alejandra is the associate director of the Privacy and Personal Data Protection, and Commercial Contracts. She is also part of the team of Life Sciences.

She is a lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and has a Master's degree in Corporate Legal Counsel from IE Law School (LLM). She attended the National University of Singapore (NUS) during her Master's studies. María Alejandra also holds a post-graduate degree in Economics from Universidad de los Andes and obtained a Certificate in Pharmaceutical Compliance from Seton Hall Law School.

In the area of privacy and protection of personal data, she provides advice on the application and implementation of applicable regulations, compliance issues; knowledge and advice on comparative regulation, especially as it affects transmissions and transfers of personal data; handling of requirements of the competent authority on personal data, and preparation of legal opinions on the subject.
