Mary is experienced in all areas of family law, both nationally and internationally, including financial matters, pre-nuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and divorce.
She has a particular emphasis on serious children cases, and is also recognised for her expertise in handling complex financial proceedings including family companies, partnerships, trusts and pensions with assets in excess of £1 million.
Mary stands out amongst her peers in terms of conducting her own advocacy, and is often singled out for her expertise in complicated cases often with a jurisdictional nature. Her particular expertise in international divorce and family law often involves legal and financial disputes in different jurisdictions. She has represented clients living permanently or temporarily overseas across a broad range of territories including the Far East, South Africa, Canada, France and Guernsey.
Mary has over 25 years’ experience practicing family law. She is a member of The Law Society Children Panel, and was previously President of the Birmingham Law Society.
