Matthew Howard is an investment funds partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Matt has advised clients on a wide range of asset management matters, including the structuring and offering of private investment funds and other alternative investment vehicles that have raised more than $100 billion in committed capital.

Clients rely on Matt’s counsel for global investment mandates in multiple asset classes, including buyout, credit, GP stakes and real estate, and have sought out his advice when launching various industry and region-specific investment vehicles. He has also guided clients on structuring employee investment vehicles, management company arrangements, carried interest plans, and other incentive arrangements.
