Mazor Matzkevich heads the competition, antitrust and regulatory affairs department.
Mazor has extensive experience and a proven track record in antitrust counseling to leading global and Israeli companies regarding complex transactions and commercial agreements, such as foreign-to-foreign and inter-jurisdiction mergers and acquisitions through merger notification and approval process vis-à-vis the Israeli Competition Authority.
Mazor is also known as an expert in antitrust litigation, including administrative and criminal cases, and in representing defendants in class actions, specializing in class actions brought against global corporations allegedly involved in international cartels. Before joining private practice, Mazor served in the North East Regional Office of the US Federal Trade Commission (the FTC). During her six-year tenure, Mazor handeled merger and non-merger cases involving various industries, including high-tech, retail, pharmaceuticals, agro-chemistry, energy, hospitals, and food.
In 2001, Mazor was the head of the Israeli Competition Authority's criminal section. While holding this position, Mazor supervised the Authority's prosecutors in criminal cases and personally led the key criminal cases of the Authority. She was also responsible for the Authority's regulatory activity in the water and environment sectors. Mazor is admitted to the New York State Bar and the Israeli Bar and co-authored several professional publications.
