Michał Jochemczak is a partner at Dentons in Poland, where he heads the Arbitration team and is a member of the Litigation and Arbitration practice group.

He has almost 20 years of experience in commercial litigation and arbitration. He has represented clients in arbitration under the leading institutional rules (ICC, VIAC, LCIA) and in ad hoc domestic and international arbitration. He also frequently appears before Polish courts.

Michał has acted as a counsel in a broad range of disputes, including joint-venture, M&A, real estate, construction, corporate, energy and financial services. He advises clients on international civil law and has significant experience in the fields of jurisdiction, enforcement of judgments and conflict of laws. Additionally, he provides legal advice to creditors, management and shareholders in bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings. He has in-depth knowledge on corporate matters and procedural related to competition law.

He was also one of the members of the ad hoc committee that drafted the new Rules of Arbitration of the Lewiatan Arbitration Court. In 2023, Michał was appointed to the Arbitral Council of the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce (SA KIG) for the term 2023-2026 and was selected to be a member of the Court’s Appointment Committee.
