Practice Areas
Naval has been practicing antitrust/competition law since its inception in India. Prior to that he was an M&A lawyer.
Career
Naval’s practice focuses on both contentious and non-contentious matters. He has been involved in some of the most prominent abuse of dominance and merger control cases in India and is particularly skilled in advising on antitrust aspects of technology related matters. He also has extensive expertise in advising on cartel and price fixing allegations.
Naval successfully represented Uber in the Supreme Court, which held that taxi-aggregators Uber and Ola had not engaged in “hub and spoke” cartel activity.
Previously Naval advised Bharat Matrimony in the only successful abuse of dominance case against Google and in 2020.
