Nick is a trial attorney with more than 35 years of experience litigating various electrical, software and mechanical technologies, including medical devices, anti-malware, encryption and acoustic/vibration analysis software, telecommunications, computer peripherals, and Internet-based and mechanical devices. He has served as trial counsel in more than 150 cases, and as lead counsel in over 100, involving patent, trade secret, trade dress and copyright issues in federal district courts throughout the US. He has served as lead counsel in interference proceedings and inter partes reviews before the USPTO, import matters pending before the ITC and appeals before the Federal Circuit.
Nick has extensive experience representing hundreds of start-up and early-stage companies in developing patent portfolios in diverse technical fields, including a vast array of medical device technologies, software and machine learning, wireless communications, general computer, telephony and network technologies.
