Nina has a high-profile practice specialising in genocide and war crimes cases before national and international courts. She acts on behalf of individuals, governments, NGOs and prosecutorial bodies. She is currently instructed as Co-Counsel to Hashim Thaçi, former president of Kosovo, defending him before the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague. She has previously acted in cases before the International Criminal Court (Rohingya jurisdiction), the Special Court for Sierra Leone (part of the team that successfully prosecuted former Liberian President Charles Taylor) and the UN International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. She is a highly experienced investigator of international crimes, particularly sexual violence and torture and has extensive experience working with survivors of sexual violence, especially men.

Admitted as a Solicitor (2003). Called to Bar (2014). Member of UK government’s team of independent experts on preventing sexual violence in conflict (2012) and justice (2014); JRR-UN Women’s sexual and gender based violence expert roster (2018). LLM Public International Law – LSE (2006).
