Career

Paulo Vidigal is a partner at Prado Vidigal Advogados. With an extensive background in digital law, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his practice.

Paulo is an alumnus of the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, where he earned his law degree and specialised in Civil Procedural Law. He furthered his education with an MBA in Electronic Law from the Escola Paulista de Direito and completed extensions in Privacy and Data Protection at Mackenzie University, and Privacy by Design at Ryerson University. He is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

In August 2020, Paulo co-founded Prado Vidigal Advogados, where he has been instrumental in steering the firm’s strategic direction in data protection and privacy. Concurrently, he co-founded Capacidados, a privacy learning company, reflecting his dedication to advancing education in data privacy.

Paulo's professional journey includes notable roles such as Chapter Chair at OneTrust PrivacyConnect since March 2021, where he leads discussions on privacy regulations and best practices. He also contributed as a columnist for TecMundo from February 2021 to February 2023, sharing insights on privacy and digital law.

Prior to founding Prado Vidigal, Paulo served as a partner at Daniel Law, and before that, he was the coordinator of the Privacy and Data Protection team at Opice Blum Advogados, where he led projects to comply with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD). His early career includes founding Mauricio Vidigal Advogados Associados, specialising in civil and digital law, and working at Lopes da Silva & Associados, focusing on civil litigation, particularly for automotive sector clients.

Paulo is also a respected educator, having served as a guest professor at renowned institutions such as FIA Business School, Insper, and LEC - Legal, Ethics & Compliance.
