Career
Rachel is a Partner in the firm's Employment team. She is a graduate of Cambridge University and completed her legal practice course at the College of Law in York.
Rachel has specialised in employment law since qualification in 2000. She trained and qualified at Linklaters before moving to Eversheds' London office in 2001. Rachel returned to Northern Ireland in 2006, and maintains dual qualification and practising certificates in both jurisdictions.
Rachel's experience straddles both contentious and non-contentious employment law for a wide range and size of clients. Rachel has particular expertise in advising on TUPE and other employment matters in corporate transactions and mergers, including public sector reorganisations. Rachel also has long experience in defending employers in industrial and fair employment tribunals.
Rachel is noted in the Chambers UK Guide 2021. "She is very sensible, approachable and on the ball," says one source, who adds: "Rachel's technical ability is very good, she is hugely intelligent and can grasp the law and apply it in a commercial way."
