Rodrigo is the Head of Litigation at Fux Advogados. He is a specialist in highly complex litigation and one of the most admired lawyers in Brazil by the country’s 500 biggest companies. He oversees a large portion of cases in this department and has extensive experience with litigation in the higher courts of Brazil, particularly in the Superior Court of Justice (STJ). He is often sought to provide solutions on difficult cases and works in a wide range of industry sectors such as Energy, Infrastructure, Construction Projects, Tobacco, Entertainment, Real State, Public Services, Intellectual Property Litigation, Contract Disputes and Corporate Litigation.
Career
His professional experience includes significant periods at Sergio Bermudes Advogados and Veirano Advogados, until he partnered with Leonel Pittzer.
Professional Memberships
Gathering of the Federal Courts Council, member of the committee responsible for the proposition of an Arbitration Model Code to the Iberoamerican Institute of Procedural Law. He is also a member of the panel of arbitrators of the Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration – CBMA and has served as judge-auditor before the Fourth Disciplinary Commission of the Superior Court of Sports Law. Rodrigo is also Professor at the Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets – Ibmec, Visiting Professor at the post-graduation program offered by the Rio de Janeiro State University, and at Rio de Janeiro State School of Magistrates – EMERJ. Rodrigo was a teaching assistant at the post-graduate course at the Law School of Fundação Getúlio Vargas – FGV. Rodrigo is the coordinator of the “Economic Analysis of Procedural Law” course offered by the National School of Magistrates – ENM, which already took place before several Court of Appeals across Brazil. Lastly, he is a guest lecturer in numerous symposiums, including at the Superior Court of Justice – STJ, the National Council of Justice – CNJ, national universities, the University of London, the University of Lisbon, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and Fordham NYC on subjects related to civil procedure, alternative dispute resolution, arbitration, law and technology, and economic analysis of law.
