Rodrigo is a professor of procedural law and arbitration at several Ecuadorian universities. He has contributed numerous articles on procedural law and arbitration to several specialized local and international publications, and is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences on procedural law and arbitration around the world
He was a former president and is currently vice president of the Ecuadorian Arbitration Institute and a full member of the Ecuadorian Procedural Law Institute. He has also been a member of the Court of Honor of the Quito Bar Association.
