Shortlisted by Legal 500 as Employment Junior of the Year 2023 and by International Employment Lawyer as Junior Counsel of the Year 2023, Sophia is an expert employment and partnership litigator. She is both a tenacious trial advocate and a responsive team player who enjoys strategising with her instructing solicitors and clients from the outset of proceedings. Having initially qualified as a Solicitor at Linklaters, Sophia possesses the unique ability to communicate effectively with clients and to appreciate the commercial realities of litigation.
In the employment field, Sophia has particular expertise in High Court business protection disputes which raise issues relating to restrictive covenants, alleged confidential information and fiduciary duties. She has recently acted for defendants in two recent speedy trials in the High Court. She is also experienced in statutory employment law, regularly appearing in the Employment Tribunal in multi-week trials. She has developed significant experience of appellate advocacy through her employment work, including appearing in the Employment Appeal Tribunal and in the Supreme Court.

Sophia read law at Cambridge University and has a Masters degree in law from King’s College London. She was awarded the Dickson Poon School of Law Prize for attaining the highest marks of any student on the Masters course and the PwC Prize for the best dissertation written by a Masters student.
