Practice Areas
Thomas Giotto is the chair of Cozen O’Connor’s Labor & Employment Department. He concentrates his practice on representing management in many aspects of traditional labor, employment, and employment-related litigation. He also counsels clients in a wide range of industries and business sectors. His traditional labor practice includes representing employers during union-organizing campaigns, before the National Labor Relations Board, collective bargaining, and grievance arbitrations. He has represented employers in litigation involving race, sex, sexual harassment, age, and disability discrimination, and against claims alleging violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, COBRA, and wrongful discharge and related common law claims. More recently, he has represented clients with large reductions in force involving WARN issues, unforeseeable business circumstances, negotiated shutdown agreements, and Chapter 11 Bankruptcy filings. He earned his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law and his undergraduate degrees from Penn State University.
