The family department offer a full range of services to both private and publicly funded clients with particular experience in finance and children matters, frequently acting on child arrangements orders and care proceedings, also experienced in advising on cases concerning relocation, abduction and assault.
The firm has the benefit of a Family Law Contract and a Mediation Contract with the Legal Aid Agency to enable the efficient delivery to those eligible for legal aid.

Career
Victoria is a Director at Susan Howarth & Company as well as running a full case load. Victoria has practiced family law for over 25 years having worked in the legal sector since she was 16 years of age, progressing through to legal secretary and paralegal before qualifying as a member of the institute of Legal Executives in 1997 and being admitted as a fellow in 1999.
Victoria has considerable experience in dealing with all aspects of Family Law, including divorce, finances, domestic abuse, children disputes, dissolution of civil partnerships.
Victoria represents clients in complex financial matters, including farming cases, cases with high net worth including pensions with high values. Victoria is regularly involved in cases concerning domestic abuse issues, including cases of financial and emotional abuse, particularly where there is coercive control.
Victoria is an accredited Family Mediator, having been involved in husband and wife’s, cohabitees and civil partners with a view to resolving family issues through the mediation process in order to settle disputes away from the Courtroom.
Victoria is totally committed to the firm, its ethos, and its future success. Many of her new clients are from recommendations from previous clients and even previous opponents, which reflects the achievement of good previous outcomes and instils confidence in clients. Clients regularly comment on her sensitive, compassionate, and thoroughly professional approach.
