Career

Yun Jeong Seo is a lead partner of the shipping finance team of Lee & Ko, a team top ranked by Chambers Asia-Pacific and classified to top tier by the Legal 500 Asia Pacific. She has been practicing in shipping finance area for more than 15 years and over that time she has built a strong reputation among premier domestic and international financial institutions, all major Korean shipping companies, export credit agencies and other corporates.

Yun Jeong specializes in all facets of shipping financing including secured and unsecured lending, syndicated and bilateral loans, limited recourse and sale and leaseback structures, guarantee and letter of credit facilities, restructuring and workouts, tax-driven structured financings, export credit backed facilities, leasing transactions, container box financing, loan portfolio sales and enforcement work. She also acts on ship sale and purchase, joint ventures, charter party backed financings and newbuilding projects.

During the recent years, she has actively advised institutional investors and domestic and international asset management companies in their offshore alternative investments in aircrafts, commercial mortgages, infrastructure debts, corporate loans and real estate. As a result, she has a deep understanding of the issues related to offshore alternative investments by Korean institutional investors.

She also has an expertise on financial regulations and disputes involving financial institutions.
