We represent federal and state commercial banks, savings banks and financial institutions ranging from local independent banks and thrifts to national and "super-regional" banks and holding companies. We represent clients in commercial and asset-based financing, commercial real estate lending, M&A, securities and regulatory issues, as well as intercreditor, default and forbearance arrangements.

Bankruptcy/Restructuring:

We represent parties in the restructuring and working out of secured and unsecured credit facilities and routinely handle financings secured by a variety of assets, including commercial real estate. We represent debtors, creditors, trustees, receivers, landlords, asset purchasers, and other parties in bankruptcy cases, receiverships, assignment for the benefit of creditors proceedings, and out-of-court work-outs. We also handle the defense and prosecution of director and officer liability cases and litigate complex insolvency-related cases in federal and state courts.

We represent clients on a broad range of environmental issues, including wetlands, coastal development and resilience, protected species, water quality and water use, property contamination, brownfields, waste management, sovereign submerged lands, due diligence, mining, natural resource extraction, wastewater/stormwater management, beach nourishment, and climate change throughout Florida and the Southeast.

Labor & Employment:

We provide employers with practical, business-oriented counseling and advice on labor and employment issues and with administrative and litigation matters at mediation and trial.

Land Development & Zoning:

We counsel clients throughout Florida on structuring deals, executing development strategies and securing entitlements for projects ranging from greenfield developments to urban redevelopment sites. We further support transactions through due diligence reports and drafting, easement agreements, restrictive covenants and the like.

Litigation:

We have many experienced trial lawyers, including Florida’s only Chamber’s USA general commercial litigation Star Individual. We represent clients in state and federal trial and appellate courts, before administrative agencies, and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

Real Estate:

We have extensive experience representing developers, investors and others in all areas of commercial and residential real estate. Projects include office buildings, shopping centers, healthcare facilities, hotels, mixed-use and residential projects.
