Angus Walker specialises in acting for clients who wish to promote or oppose applications for development consent orders (DCOs) for nationally significant infrastructure projects under the Planning Act 2008, with a leading practice in this field. He has been working almost exclusively in this area since it came into being in 2008, although he also advises on hybrid bills, transport and works act orders, harbours act orders and other special consents.
Work Highlights
Leading or assisting on several projects for National Highways: the A63 Castle Street Improvement, the M25 Junction 10 Improvement, the Lower Thames Crossing, and previously the A556 Knutsford to Bowdon Improvement and the A160/A180 Immingham Improvement.
The promotion of the first DCO for a highway project (the Heysham to M6 Link Road), a port project (the Able Marine Energy Park), an airport project (Manston Airport), and likely to be the first business and commercial project (the London Resort) and s21 pipeline project (the Southampton to London Pipeline).
