Mark has over 20 years’ experience in planning law, gained from working in both local government and private practice. He has advised upon numerous developments, ranging from large commercial and major infrastructure projects to a very wide variety of smaller matters.
As well as advising upon all aspects of planning law, he advises on compulsory purchase issues, highways law and procedure and environmental law.
Mark regularly speaks at conferences and seminars on current issues in these areas of expertise.

Advising on development consent orders, including two major promotions for National Highways in respect of junction improvements on the M25.
Advising Transport for London on various major infrastructure schemes in the capital.
Advising English Heritage (now Historic England) on a number of high profile planning cases, including tall building proposals in central London and national policy guidance on enabling development.
Advising numerous developers on commercial, residential, retail and other developments in central London and elsewhere.
Advising on estate regeneration schemes, including by use of compulsory purchase powers.
Advising a wide variety of petitioners on the Crossrail Bill and more recently the HS2 Bill.
