An experienced commercial practitioner with a chancery background, his practice encompasses a wide range of fields. Has a particular familiarity with investment disputes of all kinds (including regulatory cases), banking litigation, shareholder disputes, conspiracy and unlawful interference claims, trust disputes, and group litigation.
Has considerable experience of international litigation, jurisdictional disputes and cross border asset tracing. Has appeared before the courts of Gibraltar, the BVI and the Bahamas, and frequently acts in international arbitrations. Has acted as an English law expert in proceedings in several jurisdictions. Sits as an arbitrator.
Several of his cases have been singled out as ‘cases of the year’ by major guides.

Re Prudential Assurance Company Ltd [2020] EWCA Civ 1626 (insurance business transfers);
Re Edwardian Group Ltd [2019] 1 BCLC 171 (unfair prejudice).
Career
Educated at University College, Oxford (Open Scholar and Gibbs Prize winner) and Harvard University (Kennedy Scholar).
Called to the English Bar in 1987 (Denning Scholar and Hardwicke Scholar). Took Silk in 2006.

Anthony de Garr Robinson KC frequently represents sophisticated domestic and international clients in a range of disputes, including those relating to company law and civil fraud, as well as banking and finance.
