Brian is a trusted advisor and energy transactional partner, counseling energy clients on critical and complex transactional matters for over 20 years. He provides strategic advice, as well as straightforward and creative solutions to risk allocation issues. Brian focuses primarily on energy and renewable energy project development, acquisition, ownership and finance, including with respect to generation, storage and transmission. He represents energy companies in a variety of matters, from larger and more complex financings, project development, acquisitions and co-ownership and other structuring, to procurement, construction, and services contracts, in addition to a niche practice in the energy trading and derivatives fields. He routinely advises clients on contractual structure and provisions related to acquisitions, construction, power purchase and fuel agreements, including force majeure, change order and other risk allocation, and has been most recently been navigating utility-focused and transmission-related transactions. Brian blends technical and commercial understanding and practical advice based on his extensive experience in all aspects of the energy industry, allowing his clients to take advantage of opportunities while overcoming or mitigating challenges.
