Career
Brian Katz combines high-level perspective and technical precision in serving public and private companies. He offers both deep corporate generalist background and high-stakes transactional experience in sectors such as insurance brokerage, life sciences, semiconductor, education, manufacturing, and professional services. Brian guides clients through their most important and transformative transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financing, public and private securities offerings, and joint venture relationships. He also represents issuers in initial and secondary public offerings, and assists public company clients with compliance matters, such as federal and state reporting and disclosure requirements. Clients also rely on Brian for corporate governance matters. In addition to his broad industry experience, Brian chairs the Insurance Brokerage M&A practice, represents several of the largest national brokerages in their acquisition strategies, and also represents brokers in their exit transactions.
Brian is past chair of the firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group and served as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.
