Carlos Melón

Practice Areas

Carlos’s experience is especially focused on advising public and private clients in all types of government and public sector law matters as well as on regulation of the economic activity.

He is particularly versed in public sector procurement and in public-private partnerships (PPPs) and in the regulation of certain sectors, including -among others- energy, infrastructure, defence, water and waste.

He is involved in all types of administrative and governmental proceedings and represents clients before the contentious-administrative courts and before the Constitutional Court.

Carlos has also a solid and broad experience in public procurement litigation (recursos especiales en materia de contratación).

Carlos teaches subjects related to public law in different institutions (Madrid Bar Association, etc.).

Career

Partner Head of the Administrative and Regulated Sectors Department. Member of Ramón y Cajal Abogados since 2007, Carlos was named partner in 2016.
