Work Highlights
TransGrid - Project EnergyConnect: Acting for TransGrid in respect of the property aspects of this project, being a significant new linear transmission line project to provide a new interconnector between Robertstown (South Australia) and Wagga Wagga (New South Wales). The project traverses land with many different types of tenures.
TransGrid - Project HumeLink: Also acting on TransGrid's acquisition of land for this project being a new 500kV transmission line which will carry electricity to customers from new generation sources, including the expanded Snowy Hydro scheme.
EnergyCo - Central West Orana Renewal Energy Zone Project: Acting for EnergyCo in relation to the acquisition of land, leases, licences and easements for this project by agreement and by compulsory acquisition. The project includes negotiating with mining companies (as landowners) of land subject to a mining lease.
NSW Reconstruction Authority: Advising on its Northern Rivers buyback program (a program that is assisting hundreds of flood affected landowners in parts of Northern NSW). Carrie led the team in preparing and negotiating various template agreements and contracts that have been well received by homeowners and local lawyers. Worked closely with the RA team, at all levels, and have been actively involved in the implementation and socialising of various new directives that have needed to be adopted as the program continues to roll out and to address, head on, any new influencing factors that have needed to be incorporated.
Mirvac: acted on the development of 200 George Street. This encompassed the construction agreement for lease to EY for its new Australian premises and the other incoming tenants for the site, including for the developer as part of the new Mirvac headquarter deal. Carrie has most recently been acting for Mirvac on this project in respect of dealings with Council and Ausgrid, as well as assisting with the development management aspects of the site and practical completion. Carrie also acted on the development of 8 Chifley Square and the agreement for lease and lease to Corrs and various other tenants.
AMP: acted for AMP regarding the project delivery deed between AMP and Mirvac dealing with the redevelopment of the Amatil building located at 71 Macquarie Street, East Circular Quay. Carrie continued to act for AMP in regard to ancillary matters concerning 71 Macquarie Street and its subsequent sale.
Brookfield: acted for Brookfield in relation to its Brookfield Place project in Perth. This included an agreement for lease and lease for BHP Billiton's head office, the design and construct contract, a multitude of historical documents which needed to be addressed, entry into various adjoining owners' agreements, financier side deeds, ground anchor licences, etc. Carrie worked extensively on all aspects of Tower 1 with various members of the Brookfield team both in Sydney and in Perth. Carrie continues to be involved in Tower 1 and Brookfield Place as and when required.
