Caspar is an expert in the employment relationship, contractual (including injunctive relief) and regulatory sports’ disputes and other linked contractual / commercial claims including civil fraud and fiduciaries, claims in the financial and professional sectors.
He advises on contentious disputes and is a trial lawyer with a national reputation - representing employers when faccing mass claims, those of legal principle or those affecting reputation and bringing mass claims for employees such as representing 12,500 claimants against Bolt.
Caspar has a busy appellate practice appearing in the Supreme Court to imply a new term in all contracts of employment (Haywood), in the leading authority on National Minimum Wage (Mencap), Collective Consultation (Stirling) and the leading authority on Holiday Pay (Harpur) which led to law reform. Recently he has represented a Care Home company successfully in an appeal against compulsory vaccination and won extended rights for gig employees for holiday pay in the Court of Appeal (Pimlico No2). He is a trained mediator, carries out investigations for organisations, prosecutes and defends in disciplinary hearings, is experienced in sports’ arbitrations in all roles as an advocate, Arbitrator and Chairman.
Caspar remains a trial lawyer in cases of importance and or high value.
