Chris is a partner in Perkins Coie's Environment, Energy and Resources practice, and is the Managing Partner of the Portland office of Perkins Coie. He focuses on complex Clean Water Act, TSCA, RCRA, and Clean Air Act permitting; compliance with Climate Protection Programs; cleanup of contaminated properties under CERCLA and state Superfund laws; managing hazardous and solid waste and toxic substances; facilitating purchase and sale of contaminated properties (including merger and acquisition due diligence); and providing strategic counseling and negotiating on all levels of local, state and federal governmental enforcement and compliance actions. He is a former Oregon Department of Environmental Quality enforcement officer; has been active on numerous state environmental business, policy and advisory committees; and regularly speaks on a variety of environmental topics.
