Career
Francisco is a Partner in the Corporate department and Managing Partner of the Pinsent Masons’ Madrid office. He has a broad corporate practice, specialising in domestic and international M&A and private equity advice. He advises public and private companies and private equity firms on the full spectrum of corporate matters including mergers, acquisitions, disposals, investments, corporate joint ventures, LBOs, MBOs, secondaries and general advisory work in different sectors such as retail and consumer, agro-business, pharmaceutical, chemical and mining, telecommunications, leisure, transport and logistics, health, etc.
He joined Pinsent Masons from EY Abogados, a firm he joined in 2016 and where he has led the M&A and Private Equity practices since joining the firm. Previously, he was a partner at Araoz & Rueda for two decades and a lawyer at Gómez Acebo & Pombo. He holds a law degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a master's degree in legal advice from IE.
Throughout his 30-year career, Francisco has advised on a multitude of transactions, being recurrently recognised by the most prestigious directories, such as Chambers & Partners and Legal 500, as one of the leading lawyers in M&A and Private Equity in Spain.
