Career
He is currently the Banking & Capital Markets Global Head at KPMG and FS Head at KPMG Spain.
Francisco has extensive experience on financial regulation, particularly in those areas related to the banking sector. He has participated in the Task Force for the OCDE regarding Corporate Governance (1999) and in the Fiscal Compliance Expert Group (FISCO) of the European Commission.
Francisco joined KPMG in 2010. Before, acting as a State lawyer he worked in the Spanish “Agencia Estatal de Administración Tributaria” and Secretary of State of Economy, amongst other positions.). Still in the Spanish Government he was appointed Technical General Secretary of the Ministry of Public Works (Fomento) in 1999, the Ministry of Finance and Finally Sub Secretary (Subsecretario) of the Finance Ministry. He left the active public service in 2004 to join the Spanish Banking Association as Deputy Secretary General and Chief of the Legal Department.
Phd in Law from the Complutense University. Bachelor’s degree in Law from Alicante University. State Lawyer (currently on leave of absence). Member of the Madrid Bar Association.
