Practice Areas
Georgina is a barrister, employment law and equality expert and experienced adviser to both senior executives and employers on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment law issues.
Georgina has particular expertise in discrimination, harassment and whistleblowing claims, both within and outside the employment sphere, and including civil claims as well as Employment Tribunal disputes. She has represented clients in landmark cases relating to the use of non-disclosure agreements, non-consensual sharing of intimate images and sexual misconduct.
She is also a well-known adviser within the education sector, regarded as an expert in the field and trusted by universities and their students to advise on their most challenging discrimination and harassment cases. Together with the 1752 Group, Georgina was responsible for publishing proposed guidance for the university sector on handling allegations made by students of staff sexual misconduct, and now conducts independent external investigations for organisations, usually in relation to allegations of sexual misconduct or mistreatment.
Career
Georgina has worked in the legal sector in both the US and the UK and is a licensed California attorney. Since her call to the Bar over 20 years ago, she has worked for the international law firm Coudert Brothers in Washington DC; for Sonnenschein, Nath and Rosenthal in Chicago and New York; and then for McAllister Olivarius, in the UK, where she headed the UK practice.
In 2022, Georgina joined Bellevue Law as a senior consultant, in order to have a closer connection with the service provided to her clients, and a more versatile structure behind her provision of services.
