Career
Julian Bailey advises on international construction and infrastructure projects involving the transport, oil and gas, power (including renewables), petrochemical, industrial, retail, residential, tourism, health care, mining, marine, insurance, and defense industries. Julian has represented sovereign governments, developers, and contractors in construction and engineering projects and disputes. Julian was chair of the Society of Construction Law (UK) from 2015 to 2016, the leading industry body for construction law. He is also the author of Construction Law, a three-volume general text on construction law as it applies in England, Australia, Hong Kong, and Singapore, with an international outlook. Julian is a visiting professor at the Dickson Poon School of Law, King's College London and is an adjunct professor of law at Hamad bin Khalifa University, Doha, Qatar.
