Kevin Wallace represents real estate developers throughout the lifecycle of major construction projects, including contract negotiation, claim resolution, and litigation. He has represented clients in a wide array of development projects, including an airport terminal, a Fortune 25 company’s global headquarters, and a New York City megaproject that is the largest private real estate development in the U.S.
Kevin negotiates development agreements, agreements with design professionals and consultants, construction management agreements, design build agreements, trade contracts, project labor agreements, access agreements with neighboring property owners, and agreements with public entities, including the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Port Authority.
Additionally, Kevin advises clients on issues arising during construction involving design errors or omissions, defective work by the construction manager or trade contractors, failure to properly coordinate the work, potential project delays, demands by counterparties for additional compensation or time extensions, surety bond claims, and threats by construction managers or trade contractors to stop work.
Kevin also helps clients resolve claims and disputes arising from construction projects. He represents clients as plaintiffs and defendants in arbitration; state, federal, and bankruptcy courts; and alternative dispute resolution.
