Career

Lucas has experience structuring business and solving conflicts with major complexity and risks, focusing on corporate and investment fund matters. His recent experience encompasses the representation of pension funds and investment funds in some of the country's most relevant and most complex courtand arbitration proceedings, concerning the investments of such entities.

Lucas represents important financial, energy, oil and natural gas, civil construction, and technology companies, in national and international arbitrations and large judicial processes.

He constantly advises clients on strategic matters and represents some of them in administrative proceedings (before CVM, CRSFN, Previc, Accounting Courts etc.), mainly concerning corporate and investment funds matters.

Lucas is also active in the academic area. He is the author of many published papers on subjects in relation to Business Law and Arbitration and is a guest professor at the Commercial Law Department of Pontifícia Universidade Católica (PUC-RJ).

Member of the Capital Markets Commission of the Brazilian Bar Association, Rio de Janeiro Section (OAB/RJ).

Director of Pension Funds of the Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CBMA).

Member of the Study Committee on Corporate Litigation and M&A Disputes at the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Law (IBRADEMP).
