Experience in many high technology cases, with particular emphasis on computing/IT/internet; broadcasting and telecommunications; and biotechnology/genetic engineering. Extensive experience in the CJEU and European Patent Office.

Career

Educated at Trinity Hall, Cambridge. Before called to the Bar, worked for IBM as a systems engineer and contract programmer. Member, Govt Commission on a Bill of Rights for the UK, 2011-12. Appointed Person to hear appeals from UKIPO in designs matters.
