Mica Klein’s practice focuses on complex construction transactions and litigation. Mica counsels project owners across Washington, the United States, and international jurisdictions, regarding all aspects of construction, ranging from project development to project closeout. Mica’s practice spans both public and private projects, ranging from small tenant improvement projects to $100M+ new construction and development. Mica regularly drafts and negotiates a range of agreements, including complex construction contracts (fixed price, design-build and progressive design-build, general contractor/construction manager (GC/CM), engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC)), professional services contracts, and various other modified American Institute of Architects (AIA) and bespoke agreements. Mica has served as lead construction counsel on a range of projects, including mixed-use developments, sports facilities, hospitals, schools, and other major projects. In addition, Mica often serves as project counsel, providing her clients full-service advice regarding project planning, implementation, and completion. In this role, she routinely assists her clients in the evaluation and negotiation of significant change orders, and throughout the closeout and warranty process.
