A former Assistant to the Solicitor General at the U.S. Department of Justice, Michael has personally argued nine cases before the Supreme Court of the United States and briefed hundreds more at the certiorari and merits stages. He has authored eight successful petitions for a writ of certiorari, and he has led teams in both the government and private practice to brief multiple successful emergency-docket proceedings through courts of appeals and the Supreme Court. Michael has briefed, argued, and won cases in the Supreme Court, several U.S. federal courts of appeals, and multiple state appellate courts.
