Practice Areas

Myles practice has focused in recent years upon high-tech disputes for multinational companies and his clients include Samsung, Google, Panasonic and Collins Aerospace.

Myles is also part of Bristows’ competition department with experience of handling competition disputes before the UK courts and the European Commission. Recent cases within this practice have focused on the computing and telecoms sectors. Myles also, however, acts for clients in the aerospace and robotic technology sectors.

Myles also works closely with Bristows’ Commercial Disputes team in relation to commercial disputes relating to the operation of complex technologies.

Myles is a qualified Solicitor-Advocate with rights of audience before all the UK’s civil courts and is a qualified Irish Solicitor with full rights to practice before the Irish courts.

Myles is also a registered representative with rights to practice before the European Unified Patent Court and is presently running a patent dispute before the Hague local division of the UPC.

He has closely followed the development of the pan-European Unified Patent Court (UPC) throughout its gestation, regularly attending and speaking at the EPO and EPLAW organised Venice Patent Judges Congress.
