Nina Gussack is a national pharmaceutical and medical device litigator. An expert in the health sciences industry, she is sought after for her ability to find effective strategies to resolve the hardest and most complex cases. Nina serves as lead national coordinating and trial counsel in pharmaceutical litigation, including class actions and multidistrict litigation. Her trial practice focuses on defending health sciences companies regarding marketed products, investigational new drugs, medical devices, and over-the-counter drug products. She also represents pharmaceutical manufacturers, consultants, and academic institutions in civil and criminal actions in related complex litigation involving health care fraud and abuse, and the defense of individual and class actions. She has conducted internal corporate investigations, audits, and negotiations with government agencies, and represents pharmaceutical companies in grand jury proceedings and multistate investigations. Nina’s practice also includes counseling regarding clinical trial regulatory issues and promotional activity compliance, as well as Lanham Act claims. Nina previously served as chair of the firm's executive committee and chair of the Health Sciences Department. She currently leads the firm’s Client Development and Executive Leadership Program, which provides in-depth training for partners on strengthening client relationships, growing new business, building effective teams, and developing leadership skills.
