Robert is a seasoned legal strategist who advises leading businesses on their most complex and high-stakes matters. An experienced trial attorney, Robert works with clients to identify the result that will best meet their business needs and then devises a strategy to achieve that outcome, whether that is seeking early dismissal or settlement or taking a case through trial and appeal. After decades litigating in the country’s most challenging venues, Robert anticipates unexpected issues and looks around corners to ensure that clients' interests are protected at all times.

Robert has significant experience advising financial services clients, though his clients also include leading companies in the technology, telecommunications, energy, health sciences, and manufacturing industries. He has represented clients in multidistrict litigation, class actions, and multiparty disputes in a wide range of matters, including significant data breaches, complex corporate ownership disputes, patent and trademark infringement cases, trade secret and antitrust matters, and high-value fraud and breach of contract litigation.

Robert has served as lead counsel on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants, in federal and state courts and administrative tribunals around the country, at the trial and appellate levels. He has particular experience litigating in the Eastern District of Virginia's "rocket docket."
