Practice Areas
Robert is an expert in public and employment law, and has particular expertise in claims involving human rights issues. He also regularly appears in complex equal pay, discrimination and whistleblowing claims in the Employment Tribunal and EAT, as well as in judicial reviews in the High Court and Upper Tribunal.
Robert has been on the Attorney General’s A Panel of Counsel since 2015. In his role on the panel, Robert represents and advises an extensive range of Government Departments and public sector bodies. He is currently instructed in ongoing litigation concerning the status and rights of foster carers, and in proceedings concerning the scope of UK whistleblowing law and its compatibility with the European Convention on Human Rights. In addition, he often appears in claims brought by and against judges. He also frequently advises in matters involving wider workforce issues.
Robert also appears on behalf of Trade Unions and Trade Union funded clients, as well as NHS Trusts.
