Rob has extensive experience advising consumer brands, agencies, content creators and publishers on privacy and marketing regulatory compliance, the commercialization of their creative properties, and litigation risk avoidance in connection with data privacy, intellectual property and emerging technologies. His practice focuses on privacy, data security, marketing, e-commerce and intellectual property matters.
Rob counsels on transparency, interest-based advertising, consumer rights, privacy-by-design, mobile marketing, digital media and cross-border matters. He is a partner in the Entertainment and Media Industry Group.
He helps clients manage their advertising, marketing and promotions and advises them on consumer protection issues, design and implementation of promotions and new media matters. Rob also counsels content creators and content providers on the protection and commercialization of their music, literary and other creative properties.
He helps clients develop branding strategies and protect their trademarks and manage their global trademark portfolios.
Rob is an adjunct faculty member of Chicago-Kent College of Law and has also taught at The John Marshall Law School's Center for Intellectual Property, Information and Privacy Law.
Rob is actively involved in pro bono service on behalf of several prominent music and arts organizations.
