He acts for a very wide range of clients: individuals, organisations, senior bank employees directors, low paid, political figures, government, FTSE companies, major trade unions, football clubs, charities,accountancy firms, universities, local authorities, and other public bodies. He works across the UK and in Europe and undertakes cross - border and international employment and equality issues:

Robin has appeared in over 155 reported cases in the Industrial Relations Law Reports (more than any other barrister). and over 40 cases in the House of Lords/Supreme Court.

His trial practice is concerned with high value, high profile, claims, and test cases. He has acted in numerous multi-party cases including securing substantial awards for very many part – time judges in their £2bn pensions' claim. He has undertaken many public interest amicus and intervention briefs,

His advisory work includes corporate governance issues, the proper use of publicity powers, regulatory issues and politically sensitive decisions by public bodies, e.g.acting for the Local Government Association on Grenfell and in the COVID inquiry, and as counsel to the Windrush Review.

With Dee Masters he has advised on AI with the UN, the Council of Europe, European Equality Bodies, the TUC, FTSE companies, Government and the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation. They were finalists for the CogX 2021 Global Leadership Award.
